We were approached to create a custom Hawaiian shirt for a cousins' reunion — a group who wanted something bold, joyful, and unmistakably theirs. The brief called for a warm golden-yellow sunset palette, with Diamond Head mountain rising dramatically from a shimmering turquoise bay, framed by swaying dark silhouette palm trees and a glowing orange sun melting into the horizon. Hibiscus blooms in rich orange, creamy white, and sunny yellow were woven along the borders, bringing the tropical energy to life on every seam. At the heart of the chest, the phrase 'Kuzzins Day — Together Is Our Favorite Place To Be' was set in bold navy and red lettering, anchoring the design with warmth and belonging. The final piece captured exactly what the group asked for: a shirt that felt like a celebration, a keepsake, and a family heirloom all at once.
