This all-over print works in a single shade of royal blue on a clean white ground, like classic blue-and-white china translated into a resort print. Cruise liners glide across breaking waves, volcanic islands rise behind rows of palms, and big hibiscus blooms sit among monstera and fern fronds. Between them are coiled nautical ropes, scallop shells, spiral conch shells and compass roses marked with their cardinal points. The motifs repeat at an even, medium scale across the front, back, sleeves, collar and chest pocket, with lighter blue linework in the background giving the pattern depth.
A horizontal wordmark in tall serif capitals is worked directly into the repeat, scattered across the shirt in the same royal blue and paired with a small underline and a line of fine lettering beneath it. One placement lands just above the left chest pocket, so it reads clearly from the front. Warm brown coconut-tone buttons run down the placket and fasten the pocket, and a camp collar finishes the neckline. The look was built for a travel agency's yearly conference at sea, worn by advisors and partner suppliers together.
