Want to learn more about our process? See how we work here.

A cohort from the U.S. Air Force's School of Advanced Air and Space Studies came to us wanting something their thirty-sixth class could wear off-duty without leaving the profession behind. They asked us to lift their crest into crisp white so it could print directly onto the shirt's shared pattern at the chest pocket, retire the observatory motif, and weave in open books and stacked volumes alongside a spread of different American military aircraft. Over a deep royal blue ground we laid hibiscus and plumeria blooms in buttery pale gold, monstera and palm fronds in chalk white, and titled spines nodding to the strategy canon the class reads together, with the eagle-and-book emblem and the roman numeral XXXVI scattered throughout. Bombers, fighters and transports drift between island silhouettes and cloudbanks, and the back carries the words SAASS XXXVI. The result reads as a proper resort shirt from across the room and as a class yearbook up close.
