A client came to us wanting a Hawaiian shirt built around one unmistakable mascot: the sulphur-crested cockatoo. They asked for a deep Royal Blue ground (matched to PMS 288C), birds scattered right across the body and sleeves, and one very specific tweak — the golden crest had to be raised and fuller, exactly like the wild birds they'd photographed. Our illustrators redrew each cockatoo perched among slender eucalyptus leaves and gum nuts, then repeated them in a relaxed all-over rhythm so the print reads bold from across a room. The finishing touch sits on the chest pocket: their own line-art cockatoo emblem with the Roman numeral mark beneath it, printed clean in white against the blue, and paired with warm coconut-tone buttons.
